  dear family, i want to tell you that although this has been the worst of my lifes tribulations, that i am still standing.. the obvious reason is that jehovah is the faithful keeper of promises holding to his word that never, would his great love allow his precious children to be tested beyond what we could bear.

  With all due respect to the family and Whitney’s mother: Her reasoning is no different than what others say when their loved one dies prematurely …’God took her cause he needed her in heaven’.

  I, for Whitney’s mother’s sake hope that the killer ‘Holt’ doesn’t wind up being a sexual predator or stalker that WT and the elders in her congregation knew about but refused and or neglected to inform the rank and file about.

  Indeed, a sad event with a sad ending!

  Thank you Atlantis. Wonder why the annual ‘Thank You For All That You Do For The WTBTS’ letter to the Pioneers has been discontinued and with no reason given:

  ELDERS MEET WITH REGULAR PIONEERS, SPECIAL PIONEERS, AND FIELD MISSIONARIES

  PROGRAM FOR DECEMBER 2012 THROUGH JANUARY 2013

  Note to the elders:

  This meeting is to be conducted in December or January by two elders selected by the body of elders. Other elders may attend. The meeting should be positive, practical, and encouraging. Allow those in attendance to comment freely on the questions posed. Supplemental questions may be used as needed and as time allows. If pioneers inquire, they may be informed that the arrangement for an annual letter to all regular pioneers has been discontinued

  This article devoted ½ the time to: ‘ADULTERY—A CLEVERLY CONCEALED PIT’

  There must be an increase of ‘hanky-panky’ going on among JW married couples. More and more cheating hearts are surfacing especially among the JW servant body households.

  “Lets’ see where can my elder husband be” (asks the neglected JW wife)? There is the (1) Hospital Liaison Committee, (2) Regional Building Committee, (3) District Convention Committee, (4) Circuit Assembly Committee, (5) Kingdom Hall Maintenance Committee, (6) and finally the… Judicial Committees and all the other elder responsibilities toward his own congregation (worst yet if he is the COBE).

  That is quite a load for just one man to carry if he is a member of any one or more of the above committees plus being an elder plus being married plus having children plus having to hold down a job in order to put a roof over his family’s head in order to feed and care for them.

  Is it any wonder that the topic of ADULTERY has come up in this weeks’ Watchtower Study lesson?

  If the husband or the wife are not getting there sexual due and companionship from each other because the head of the house (elder) is too damn busy with WT matters, then ADULTERY is going to surface!

  After 100+ of families breaking up among JWs the WT invents the Family Worship evening in 2009 to stem the tide of low retention rate among JW youth. Too little too late!

  What will they do now to keep JW husband and wife from straying from each other?

  i have been around in this forum a lot but haven't written much yet.. also i had a more or less rude awakening when i realized that the religion i grew up with, the religion i sacrificed a lot for and considered to be the 'truth' is nothing but mere bs.

  it's quite a brick to digest.. my parents both are jws, elder and pioneer.

  very good people but also very brainwashed.

  The very first sentence of paragraph 1 states:

  ‘The Devil stalks Jehovah’s servants.’

  Yah, like the Devil doesn’t have anything better to do with his time.

  The JWs wish they could blame the Devil for all their problems. The truth of the matter is that JWs bring all their problems on themselves.

  JWs would be better off if they cut themselves loose from the control of the WTBTS!
